Childlike faith

The power of the “Word of God” Bible is just amazing. Lately, Lord has been speaking to me that, how human minds cannot even comprehend the power of “Word of God”. Only Holy Spirit, Who is in us (Christians) gives us that grace of understanding the power of “Word of God”

There is a reason why Jesus said “Let the children come to me” in Matthew 19:14

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” (NLT)

It is very important to get the Word of God in to our children’s, in to the next generation, so that they walk in the ways of God as we see it in Proverbs 22:6

Direct your children onto the right path and when they are older, they will not leave it (NLT)

If anyone has doubts or asks questions as why Bible must be part of the schools again, above are the 2 Bible verse answers.

Now, coming to title “Childlike faith”, what is the connection between the title and those 2 verses that we saw?

Well for that, we have to read Matthew 18 and verse from 1 to 4

“About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. (NLT)

What exactly Jesus meant when He said “become like children”? Of course, it’s not possible to turn into a child physically. Jesus talked about, being like a children when we approach our God, our heavenly Father without pride, doubt but filled with Joy and Hope, knowing that we will receive what we approach our Father for.

For all of us (as grownups), Jesus tried to convey two things from Matthew 19:14

  1. Bring the children to me
  2. Come to me like children
